Oh, Canada!

Body clock finally back on track!

For some reason, it's harder for my body clock to adjust from a 3-hour time difference compared to a 15-hour one. It's been a week since I got back from Canada and my body is still recuperating from being sick. Honestly, I think it's my body's way of telling me to slow down. Anyway, I've been to the west coast of Canada but this was my first time exploring the east coast of Canada. It was one fun and tiring trip. A lot of driving and nature tripping. My friends and I were able to see both the city life and the country side of it.

We took a red-eye flight to Buffalo, NY and landed around 1000. With no sleep, we drove across the Canadian border and reached our first destination, Toronto

The first place we went to was Canada's National Tower where we were able to see the city's skyline. I don't know about you but there's something about skylines that make me feel so giddy.

Of course, our inner child had to come out at some point in this trip and that's when we went to Canada's Wonderland, an amusement park. We got so lucky because the park just re-opened from Winter closing so there weren't a lot of people. The lines were short that we were able to go to the rides in just a few hours.

We then drove to Ottawa to see the Tulip Festival. The weather in Canada was so bipolar that's why you'll see us in sweaters and summer clothing. Luckily, the weather was really nice during the festival. That's where we tried Beavertails, too. Oh my, it was so good!

Montreal, Quebec was our next destination. Apparently, most people in this city speak French instead of English. All the road signs were in French. It was such an adventure to roam around the city. We made sure we knew how to say yes and no in French before heading there. Haha.

We drove back to Toronto a day before our flight back to California to go to Toronto Islands. The plan was to have a picnic and swim at the beach but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us. It was drizzling and the sky was gloomy so we just walked around the Islands.

Of course, we didn't end the trip without seeing the famous Niagara Falls. We got there when it was already dark so we did not see much. It was still an awesome sight to see though.

This trip, as usual, made me realize how blessed I am to be able to experience God's gifts and how amazing life is. Until next time!
