Ramble on and on

I woke up this morning with the urge to write. About what, you may ask. I don't really know. I just wanted to write something. I have so many things going on in my head for the past few weeks now and maybe that's the reason why I'm doing this. Or maybe, I'm just trying to escape from all the studying I have been doing since last week. Either way, I'm here now to unravel all most of my convoluted thoughts. Why not all? Well, some things are meant to be kept to one's self. You'll probably notice by now how this entry is all over the place and might even find it annoying. Sorry, but this is how it's going to be. There are so many things I want need to do right now and thinking about it makes my head ache. Study, read, get nails done, sleep, eat, go somewhere, workout, organize, shop, and the list goes on and on. Twenty four hour days are not enough! What do they say again? Something like...so much to do but so little time...yes, that's what's been going on for the past month now. I'm so busy I don't know which one I should do first. Most of the time, I feel like drowning. I remember just the end of last year I was thinking...I wish I had stuff to do with all the time I got right now. Yeah, right. Be very careful of what you wish for because when you get it there's no going back.

After all that ranting and rambling, I sure do feel a little better. It didn't get anything done on my to-do list but whatever. Sometimes all we need to is just breathe. Take it all in and let it all out. Unwind. Relax. Regroup.

Oh, life.

For the past few weeks, my life was like a roller coaster that was on full speed with all the events that happened in a short span of time. Traveled to so many places, met new friends that are now considered family, witnessed solemn and rewarding moments.

But like what they say, every beginning has to end. Now, the roller coaster is slowly calming down and it's time to face reality yet again. It's time to go back to work and face responsibilities. Such a bittersweet moment in life, to feel the excitement and sadness almost all at once. I wouldn't trade those moments for anything else for those are the moments I would always remember and live for. Those are memories I will forever cherish.

5 Things That Are Currently Making Me Happy

1. Traveling. I love traveling so much. My friends and I are going on a short trip to Seattle on Friday. I'm so excited! I would travel every week/month if I had the money to spend. Here's the video I made from my trip to Hawaii last year.

2. School. I'm almost done with my Bachelor's Degree. Few more weeks! I can't wait. Up next is my Master's Degree.

3. Thank You notes from my previous patients. This is one of the cards I received from my manager stating the comment I received from a patient a few weeks ago.

4. Tax Refund. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay the IRS!

5. Go Pro Hero 3+. Thank you to my best friend, Patty. I love it so much. Can't wait to use it for my future trips.

To forgive, to ask, and to let go.

When someone does something bad to us or something that cause us pain, we experience strong mixed emotions that can alter our thinking and decisions. These emotions can make it hard for us to offer forgiveness. It can really be hard to ask or offer forgiveness but it’s harder to let ourselves suffer from anger, guilt, or hurt. These strong feelings can change our way of life and state of mind negatively. It can keep us in darkness and pull out all the joy we have in our lives. You set yourself free from these feelings when you let forgiveness take over.
I have experienced betrayal not only once, but a couple of times, from different people. Some are really close to my heart and some are just acquaintances. When I was younger, I held onto grudges and it was very hard for me to forgive. During those times, it became hard for me to trust other people, even those who are close to me. I would wake up each morning with a heavy heart. One day, I started reading inspirational and self-help books, which were very effective based from my experience. I realized that I’m the one who’s making me suffer by not moving on from those awful experiences and not forgiving. I also realized that I wasted those times letting myself be a prisoner of my own emotions by not forgiving.
When I set myself free from suffering by offering forgiveness, I noticed the beautiful changes that happened in my life. I felt like I came out of my own shell. I became happier. I moved on when I started incorporating forgiveness in my life. It truly is a great gift to give and to receive. We have to remember that when we experience betrayal or hurt from someone, we are not the only one experiencing it. Every day, there are a lot of other people who experience the same thing or even worse. We have to acknowledge that terrible things happen in life. It’s the way we handle those things that matters. When someone asks you for forgiveness, accepting it will both be a gift to you and to the one asking for it. It doesn’t just release the tension or anger but it also lifts up your souls. Some people think that not forgiving shows how tough they are and that they can get back at the people who hurt them by letting them have the same feelings of misery. I believe that it takes up a lot of courage and strength to truly forgive someone. Forgiveness shows how strong and selfless we can be.
Forgiving and asking for forgiveness are both hard but are both key to living a joyful life. Forgiveness may take time but it will never be too late. It requires a lot of effort to let go of the grudges we have in our hearts but when that time comes, we will feel free and contentment in our lives. We should let forgiveness in our lives to see the changes it can do for us.

Forgive, move on, and let go.
